About Little Curves “Kate”

Meet Little Curves “Kate,” a 2022 AQHA registered bay mare standing 14.3 hands. Kate is a young mare with real-world ranch experience, an impressive pedigree and a willing attitude. She has been exposed to day working, sorting cattle, working sale barns, gathering cattle, moving pairs, opening gates and covering rough country. She handles busy environments with a level-headed and confident attitude and is always willing to go to work. Under saddle, Kate is soft, responsive and enjoyable to ride. She moves nicely off leg pressure, carries a soft face, neck reins one-handed, has smooth transitions and a big stop. She is light in the bridle, easy to guide and athletic enough to step around when asked. Kate has a great mind and learns quickly. She wants to please her rider and has the foundation to continue developing in several different directions. She is confident outside, sure-footed over rough terrain and ready for her next job. Her pedigree is another major highlight. Kate is sired by WR Smart Little Star, a son of Missies Little Star by the legendary Grays Starlight. Her bottom side traces to Rey of Curves, bringing in the influence of Dual Rey along with cow sense, athleticism and versatility. Kate has potential as a ranch horse, rope horse, barrel prospect, ranch versatility horse or performance partner.
